The Biothreat Response Lab works with local health, law enforcement and first responders to provide testing of suspicious materials for the following:
Multiple Agent Screening:
STAT Testing (24/7/365)

    Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax)
    Burkholderia mallei (Glanders)
    Burkholderia pseudomallei (Melioidosis)
    Francisella tularensis (Tularemia)
    Yersinia pestis (Plague)
    Orthopox viruses

    Ricin Toxin

This testing is done using the following technologies:

  • Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
  • Culture (Bacterial)
